For this project I wanted to pay homage to two of my favorite and iconic animals, the Triceratops and the Tyrannosaurus-Rex. Rex; which means “King” is often how the beast is depicted in illustrations, films, and other media. But as someone with a soft spot for the equally popular but often overlooked in terms of capability- Triceratops; I wanted to depict the Triceratops defending itself successfully from the T-Rex. I captured a moment of action, both creatures in motion as the triceratops drives it’s long and characteristic horns into the neck of the hungry T-Rex. Famous Fossils like the “Dueling dinosaurs” also served as inspiration behind the concept that the triceratops was a worthy adversary for the famous Tyrannosaurus-Rex.
